1972 Commando Interstate 750cc

Immaculate bike

On offer oh, so reluctantly is my 1972 Norton Commando 750cc Intersate (matching frame/engine # 206530) with 14,000 or so miles. This bike was completely professionally restored by British USA in March 2004. Everything was rebuilt from the ground up, including installation of new parts if there was any question as to their integrity. Over $9100 in receipts, including paint, powder coat, chrome, new stalube bearings, seals gaskets, tires, mufflers, pipes breaks cables, wiring, seat, respoked and chromed wheels. etc. Since then the bike has run regularly, turning heads wherever it goes (including attracting more attention outside Orange County Choppers store in NY than they seemed to like!). I've done around 1500 miles on it since the restoration and ironed out the little quirks like the leaking oil from the tach drive (replaced with the modified one that Fred at Old Britts supplies), replaced the kick start lever with a MKIII to stop it hitting the exhaust pipe etc. Included in the sale is a complete set of Lucas (yes, I know...) turn signals and wiring I just could not be bothered to fit (and a great big paw sticking out is much more visible anyway - scares the bejesus out of the tin box crowd wondering what you are about to do!). For New York buyers I have a personal (Norton oriented) plate that will go with it (if we can figure out how the DMV will do that..). I can also help with shipping from my location or anywhere you need it delivered (within reason). Feel free to ask questions. This is a beautiful, clean and sound bike that is not going to go cheap. I need to pay for a house, so it has to go. My girlfriend is furious about selling it. Oh, well.. Financials: $7500 firm, $500 deposit by PayPal, the rest by Certified Check ONLY before I ship it.
